About Colin and the cause
"My wife and I are determined to get this drug noticed because potentially, it is a life-saver" -Colin Howe
Colin, who suffers from kidney cancer, is urging the NHS to make the potentially life-saving drug 'Sutent' available to everyone and raise awareness.
Colin, 47, was diagnosed with the disease two years ago and has since had two operations and used a prescribed drug - Interferon - for treatment. After his last course of treatment ended, he was told it had not been successful. His only remaining option was to apply to use 'Sutent' through Warwickshire Primary Care Trust (PCT). The revolutionary new drug was already proved successful in treating kidney cancer. but is not available for free through the NHS.
